The aim of the conference is to bring researchers together from different countries and to discuss the latest trends and issues related to accounting. We are looking forward to warmly welcome all participants from around the world on 13 - 15 November 2019 in Kiel.
Major topics of interest include, but are not limited to: Auditing, Accounting Education, Accounting History, Accounting and International Capital Markets, Financial Analysis and Reporting, Global Accounting and IFRS, Corporate Governance, Accounting and Information systems, Data Analytics and Extensive Business Reporting Language (XBRL), Management Accounting and Control, Public Sector and Nonprofit Accounting, Taxation, Sustainability Accounting and Reporting, Environmental Accounting, Accounting and Public Finance and other related topics.
We strongly encourage PhD-students and their supervisors to submit work in progress for presentation and to receive quality feedback from an appointed international reviewer and to contribute from advice from the audience. The participants of the PhD-colloquium will also have the opportunity to attend a short workshop and also discuss their research problems with international participants.
For very young researchers at the beginning of their academic career (undergraduate and graduate students) the Student Research Award will be awarded for the first time this year. Young researchers will have the opportunity to present their current research projects and to discuss them with scientists from all over the world as part of a poster presentation. The projects are not subject to a review process, but should at least have the status of a "proposal". Among the presenters, the Student Research Award will be granted by an international jury and handed over in the evening event.
All submitted papers will be reviewed by an international scientific committee. Authors of all accepted papers have the possibility to publish their papers in the digital conference proceedings. The best papers of the conference will be rewarded with a best paper award and can be considered for publication in Engineering Economics (indexed in Thomson Reuter‘s Web of Science) and Theoretical Journal of Accounting.
